In a typical year, the Students’ Union hosts many campus-wide events, as well as smaller events that attract and cater to different types of students. Events are brainstormed and planned by the Campus Life Working Group which is open to all VIU students.

Consent Trivia, Sex Bingo + Drag Show
Get ready for a night of fabulous entertainment at the VIUSU Drag Show, hosted in the pub. Experience the art of drag as local performers showcase their talents and bring the house down with their costumes, lip-sync performances, and comedy. But wait, there's more! Before the performances, test your knowledge with a fun round of consent trivia and get ready to play a wild game of sex bingo. The prizes? Sex toys! So gather your friends and come on down for a night of laughter, glitz, glamour, and potentially, some new toys to add to your collection.

Join the Students Union for a Consent Fair on February 14 in the upper cafeteria. Meet with vendors, organizations, and groups promoting consent and safe sex.

As part of Consent Week, we are hosting a series of educational opportunities for students to learn more about themselves, their sexuality, relationships, and consent.
Frosh Week 2022 - Video Recap
Frosh Week 2022 was our largest social and celebration for new and returning students at VIU this Fall. We had an incredible week playing with different forms of paint, eating delicious pancakes and sausages, and dancing a night away with live music from Anushka Kashyap, Wasakaka Latin All-Star Band, and DiRTY RADiO.
Thanks to all the students who joined us in the celebration, we can’t wait to see you at our next event!
