Club Council Recap - January 24, 2023

At the Club Council Meeting, the members discussed a variety of topics, including Club Funds and Accounts, Fundraising, and VIU Club Days 2023.

For Club Funds and Accounts, the members discussed how the different accounts work (budget and trust), how to access funds and submit reimbursement requests, and the different restrictions on club fund use.

Club execs also discussed the importance of reaching out to potential donors, creating a detailed plan for events, and actively promoting the clubs through the VIUSU App.

Finally, for VIU Club Days 2023, the members discussed the introduction of VIU Club Days, an week-long series of club-hosted events to compete for prizes. They discussed the importance of creating an engaging and inclusive environment for all participants, as well as the need to create an effective plan for marketing and promoting the different events. The goal of Club Days is to allow clubs more autonomy over group events and club promotion.

Overall, the Club Council Meeting was a productive and informative session that provided many useful insights and suggestions for the club.
