Communicable Diseases Plan and COVID-19 Vaccines

The VIU Communicable Diseases Plan will be released this week and focuses on basic risk reduction principles to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19 and other communicable diseases on our campuses.

Key to the efforts of re-opening campus will be:

  • Wash your hands regularly with soap and water

  • Cover your sneeze and cough

  • Clean personal and shared surfaces frequently

  • If you’re feeling sick, stay home

  • Keep vaccines up to date

Questions about the COVID-19 vaccine?

The province of BC is holding a Vax for BC event on August 4 with all vaccination clinics offering walk-in doses. No need to register online.

ImmunizeBC has answers on their COVID-19 Vaccine FAQ page. COVID-19 vaccines are available at no charge to everyone ages 12+ living, working or studying in BC. This includes international students and their families. Register today.
