VIUSU's Indigenous Students Representative, Leah Vaisanen, and VIU Indigenous Education Navigator, Sherry Mattice, invite you to join us in recognizing Missing and Murdered Girls, Women, and 2-Spirit (MMIWG2) at a March on Wednesday, February 14th from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm. 

The start of the March will take place at Maffeo Sutton Park (meet at large gazebo) and end at Library Credit Union Square.

The MMIWG2 March is a solemn occasion to honor and remember those Indigenous individuals who have gone missing or have been tragically taken from us. This event is an opportunity to come together, raise awareness, and advocate for justice and support for the affected families.

Your presence at the MMIWG2 March would be an honor and contribute strength and unity for our community in advocating for justice and remembrance. 

We look forward to standing together on February 14th.
