Join us for the first workshop in our series Decolonize Your Mindset, focusing on mental health from an Indigenous perspective. Gain insight into the Indigenous understanding of mental health, emphasizing holistic approaches that integrate physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. We’ll be joined by Elder Maxine Hayman Mattilpi, member of the Kwakiuti Nation (Tskakis and also has Tlingit, Ma'amtigila and Scottish/English roots.

Come ready to engage in meaningful discussions and explore ways to incorporate Indigenous perspectives into your own mental health practices.

  • Activities for the event include:

    • Indigenous colouring sheets

    • Smudging ceremony

    • Gratitude practice

    • Bannock and tea
