Black History Month: Lt. Irie, Ndidi Cascade, and GreenEyedLion Perform at the Campus Pub

Come to the Campus Pub for a special Black History Month late-night event featuring three talented artists, Lt. Irie, Ndidi Cascade, and GreenEyedLion! This will be a celebration of black excellence featuring music, dancing, art, drink specials, and fun. Must be 19+ with 2 pcs of ID required.

Lt. Irie - Lieutenant, n: holding a position. Irie, adj: pleasing, highest, the state of feeling great. 

Vancouver-based DJ/ Selector/ Producer/ Mixing Engineer Lt. Irie aka Lieutenant Irie, has been a familiar face on the Reggae Dancehall and Dub concert, Club, and Festival circuits for over twenty years. He continues to work as Musical Selector for countless local and international artists and has been a featured DJ at several festivals, including African Descent, Fusion Fest, Richmond World Music, AHFOMAD, Towards Eden and Bass Coast, plus official DJ for Vancouver420 and Cannabis Day events. Lt has toured Mexico and performed in Jamaica.

Ndidi Cascade is a Vancouver-born-and-based hip-hop artist who is of Nigerian/Italian/Irish heritage.

A songwriter, vocalist, educator, facilitator and curator, Ndidi has showcased her music, from classrooms to stadiums globally, opening for mega-talents such as Wu-Tang Clan & Femi Kuti.   

Ndidi Cascade facilitates youth empowerment workshops and hip hop education school programs, using hip-hop as a medium for healthy self-expression. She is also a cultural curator and ambassador for the Ethós Lab youth empowerment organization. 

Ndidi Cascade is the creator and producer of ORIGINZ, which is an interactive school show exploring roots of hip hop and Afro-centric music and how it connect to BIPOC struggle and joy.

She also tours the festival and school circuits both as a solo artist, and with her collaborative bands including Metaphor & Mad Riddim.  Ndidi Cascade is a curator for annual festivals such as Black Music Month Vancouver.

GreenEyedLion a.k.a Osman Okey brings elements of all his travels around the world (Nigeria, Turkey, U.K., New Zealand, Brazil and Canada) to his art, music and mixes. This includes West African percussion. His Safari Nites events promote Indigenous Art forms - recently NEON African Masks - and these genre (Amapiano, Afrobeat, Afrohouse, Tribal house, DnB Ragga Jungle) of music.
