Photo Gallery - Happy Endings Event 2023

On April 13 your VIU Students’ Union Director of Events, Paula Zerpa, organized VIUSU’s year end event, Happy Endings! The theme of this event was “throwback thursday” where we set up throwback booths decorated in theme with some of the events we hosted throughout the year. Themes included Frosh, Halloween / Day of the Dead, Consent Week, Mariners Tailgate Parties, and Christmas / Santa Photos.

We had live performances and dancing thanks to DJ Seps, En Karma, and Johnny Inappropriate and gave out 400 beef & veggie burgers thanks to the Nanaimo Serauxman Service Club. Guests enjoyed playing games like axe throwing, bowling, basketball, and an obstacle course, and other activities such as tie-dying, hydro-dipping, santa photos, writing messages of support to the Mariners, and more! Event prizes given out included a $250 Best Buy gift card, Gourmia Air Fryer, JBL Clip3 Speaker, 2 pack of River Tubes, Cineplex Movie Passes, a pass to Wildplay, and a Mariners Hoodie/Swag Pack. The Students’ Union Pub hosted the official 80’s themed after-party with DJ BDilla where the dance floor remained open until midnight.
