VIU Chess Club

Campus: Nanaimo

The Chess Club is a growing community of chess enthusiasts--a place where we can gather once a week in person to play, learn, and connect with one another over our favorite checkered board. We have an Executive team with ambitions towards hosting open tournaments on campus, and future aspirations of creating a VIU chess team to compete in future events across BC. We would like to make chess a presence on VIU where all are welcome to engage in this beautiful battle of wits, and we hope to extend our community to chess communities all over the island, and beyond.
