In 2004 the Students' Union, in partnership with the University, developed a fund to support students who have been invited to present at academic forums and conferences. Since its creation, the Jessica Wilde Conference Fund has been used by members of the Students’ Union to help offset the cost of presenting their research to peers in their chosen field of study.

Students can pick-up funding application forms at the Students' Union or through their department Chair. Applications are reviewed by a panel representing the University and the Students' Union and must adhere to the Fund's terms of reference.
